Ti6Al4V powder is an alpha-β titanium alloy with high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance. It is one of the most commonly used titanium alloys, widely used for low density and excellent corrosion resistance, and is required for such aerospace industrial and biomechanical applications (implants and prosthetics). Ti6Al4V is often considered the "foundation" of the titanium industry because it is by far the most widely used titanium alloy, accounting for more than 50% of the total titanium. It is an alpha + beta alloy that can be heat treated to moderate strength. Titanium-6al-4vanadium is recommended at temperatures not exceeding 350 ° C /660 ° F.
